Providing Sports Class Vouchers for Low-Income Children
KSPO provides sports class vouchers to low-income children in order to promote participation in
sports, health, and social integration.
The recipients are children between the ages of five and eighteen from low-income families as
classified by the National Basic Living Security Act.
The eligible children receive monetary support of up to 80,000 KRW (approx. 72 USD) per month for over eight months in a year. The sports vouchers can be used for taking lessons at affiliated sports facilities.
Since 2019, KSPO has expanded the sports vouchers to low-income persons with disabilities for the sake of inclusive sport welfare.
