The Sports Industry Loan is a system where loans are provided for a long-term at low interest rates for sporting goods manufacturers and sports facility companies in order to develop Korea's sports industry and expand recreational sports infrastructure. R&D support & facility loans have been offered to sporting goods manufacturers for basketballs, soccer balls, badminton racquets etc. since 1991, and played a vital role in raising the quality of domestic sporting goods and product competitiveness.
Moreover, the facility loan for sports facility companies commenced from 1996, and provides opportunities for more people to participate in sport activities through the expansion of various sports facilities, and for a balanced development of the sports industry. This system extended in 2006 to include sports service providers. |
